Port Nolloth SAPS clamps down on crime during safer festive season operations

Members of Port Nolloth SAPS have reaffirmed their commitment in clamping down on crime during this festive season period and beyond.
This was evident when members of B relief followed up on information provided regarding possible drug activities.
The members operationalised the information which led them to the location of the suspect and the discovery of the drugs that was concealed in chip packets wrapped in a black plastic.
These actions unfolded on 01 December 2025 at approximately 13:20 in Port Nolloth.
The chip packet contained drugs with an estimated street value of R5 433.20 and subsequently led to the arrest of a 36-year-old male who will soon appear in the Port Nolloth court.
This partnership between the public and SAPS remains vital in the fight against crime.
Police in the Namakwa District remains steadfast and intentional in their fight against crime and assured the community that they will squeeze the space preventing criminals to operate.
Community members are also urged to continue reporting criminal activities and be the eyes and ears of the police.
