Operation Paseka- Safer Easter Holidays At N7 Bulletrap Roadblock

The South African Police Service members in Springbok conducted a roadblock operation on the N7 at Bulletrap on Friday, 27 March 2026, between 08:00 and 10:00 as part of the operational actions of Operation Paseka.

During the operation, two females and two male foreign undocumented nationals, aged between 26 and 40 respectively were detained for contravening the Immigration Act (Act 13 of 2002)

During the searching of vehicles, members discovered two of the foreigners in taxis while the  other two were  travelling in a Toyota Hilux bakkie.

The four were unable to produce the required documentation and was handed over to Home Affairs officials for further processing.

Following confirmation they were subsequently arrested and detained
and scheduled to appear in Court on Monday, 30 March 2026.

The District Commissioner, Brigadier Schalk Andrews has issued a firm warning that SAPS will intensify operations during this period, squeezing the space for criminals to operate during and beyond the approaching Easter holidays.
