Public assistance needed to find missing Kimberley woman

The Kagisho Detectives are requesting the assistance of the public in locating Itshenkeng Georginah Morokonyane, 43, who was reported missing by her mother on Wednesday, 02 September 2026.

According to the police, Morokonyane left home on July 2025with her friend known as “Maureen” indicating that they were going to a casino in Bloemfontein.

Warrant Officer Molefi Shemane said, she never returned home.

She last contacted her mother on February 2026, and promised to return home the following month in March.

“During their conversation in February 2026, Morokonyane informed her mother that she doesn’t have a cellphone, andhad borrowed a phone from a security guard at OR Tambo International Airport,” said Shemane.

“Thereafter, no further contact has been made.”

Anyone with information that can assist the police in locating Morokonyane to reunite her with her family is urged to contact the Investigating Officer Detective Sergeant Dineo Motseothata from Kagisho Detectives on 082 469 0236.

They can alternatively contact the nearest police station or contact Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or use the MySAPS App.

All information received will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.

The public is reminded that there is no waiting period to report a person as missing.
